Italian Stereotypes by Category

Regardless of how we choose to see ourselves (as an ethnic group), the media is creating an Italian identity revolving around the Mafia and other antiquated Italian stereotypes. The constant application of stereotypes to Italians by the media is Anti- Italianism. If the same were done to African Americans it would be labeled racist. To women? Sexist. To Italians? Entertainment.
